A rolling refurbishment program of Kmart stores around Australia included some where the building fabric contained asbestos containing materials or a range of other hazardous materials. Armed with detailed design drawings and some basic reporting by previous Consultants, we performed midnight surveys to identify, delineate and provide options to safely complete the works as the new look stores were delivered and the following risks managed:
