Maryvale Rail Reserve
Maryvale celebrated the opening of their railway station in 1911, and over 100 years later are eagerly anticipating redevelopment of this prime land as a destination for locals and travellers on the grey nomad highway. We were proud to work with Council as we investigated the 5 hectares of historical industrialised land that housed risks associated with cattle dips, railway and fuel infrastructure, groundwater and fill.
Ultimately relying upon solid science from targeted assessment and supporting risk assessment, as opposed to costly remediation, the land was removed from the Environmental Management Register.
